7 Deadly Songs that have Sprung up this Spring

1. Yuksek and Bertrand Burgalat | Icare

French DJ/producer Yuksek has teamed up with fellow countryman Bertrand Burgalat to release a new disco dancing tune Icare. The Photoshop graphics are v cool too.

2. Peggy Gou | It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)

This 90s-influenced house track from the Korean producer’s new EP Once. It’s the first time Gou sings on a record and it’s so refreshingly brilliant.

3. Albert Hammond, Jr. | Muted Beatings

The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr. has a new album out Francis Trouble, his first LP since 2015’s Momentary Masters. The Strokes released an EP Future Present Past in 2016.

4. Young Fathers | In My View

The Edinburgh-based trio is back with their third album Cocoa Sugar. The record follows 2014’s Mercury Prize-winning album Dead, and 2015’s White Men Are Black Men Too.

5. Bicep | Opal (Four Tet Remix)

Bicep was heralded as one of the best dance albums of 2017. Here Four Tet (aka Kieran Hebden) has remixed Bicep’s Opal for a more musingly melodic feel.

6. DJ Koze feat. Róisín Murphy | Illumination

Murphy sings on two tracks of DJ Koze’s album Knock Knock which also features some well-known artists including Bon Iver, José González, and Mano Le Tough.

7. Tomasz Guiddo feat. Kasar | Hide (The Juan MacLean Remix)

Shenzhen-based Polish DJ/producer Tomasz Guiddo new single Hide gets a strong remix treatment from DFA Records finest The Juan MacLean.
